Kourt of ze Moon – Gloomspite Gitz Army Project – Episode 01
Willkommen zu meinem Gloomspite Army Project für 2020.
Seit die Gloomspite Gitz rausgekommen sind möchte ich diese Armee beginnen. Besonders weil sie meine erste große Armee in Warhammer Fanatsy waren – damals noch Nachtgoblins. Sie waren auch der Grund, der das Eis brach und mich zurück zu Warhammer holte. Nach einem ganzen Jahr soll es nun soweit sein. Problem ist, dass die großen Horden Armeen mir nicht nur zu teuer sind, sondern auch zu viel Zeit beim bemalen verschlingen. Ich kann einfach nicht “schnell” malen. Glücklicherweise sind die Armeen in Age of Sigmar da recht flexibel aufgebaut und ich kann eine Armee mit relativ wenigen Miniaturen aufstellen und trotzdem Goblins anmalen. Es gäbe natürlich die Option eine Troll (jetzt Troggoth) Armee aufzubauen, was auch sehr cool wäre, aber nicht in meinem Interesse liegt. Obgleich ich mir einige Trolle früher oder später holen werden. Jedenfalls wird es eine Squig Armee und da ich Boingrot Bounderz ganz wunderbar finde, wird meine Armee zum größten Teil auch aus diesen bestehen. Um der Sache den nötigen Hintergrund zu geben kam mir folgenden Idee:
Welcome to my Gloomspite Army Project 2020.
Since the Gloomspite Gitz were released I want to start them. Especially because they were my first major army in Warhammer Fantasy – called Nightgoblins back then. They were also the reason why I came back to Warhammer in general. After a whole year the time has come and I will start a Gloomspite Gitz army. Problem is the huge hordes armies are not just expensive, they also take a long time to paint and I’m not able to paint “fast”. Fortunately the armies in Age of Sigmar are quite flexible and I can build an army with a low model count and still paint Grots. There would be the option to make a Troll army (or Troggoth as they are called now), which would be awesome as well, but I want to paint Grots. Although I will get some of these Troggoth sooner or later. However this army will be a Squig-army and I love the Boingrot Bounderz miniatures, which will be the heart of my army. For the background I had the following idea:
Background – Kourt of ze Moon
Der Kourt of ze Moon ist ein Klan der besonderen Sorte. Es handelt sich dabei ausschließlich um Loonnoblez. “Adlige” Goblins durch deren Adern blaues Blut fließt. Der Klan züchtet seine Nachkommen selbst und nimmt nur selten Grotse von außerhalb auf. Ihre Freizeit verbringen die Loonnoblez meist auf Turnieren wo auf edelste Weise mit Lanzen auf sich eingestochen wird. Der eine oder andere Unfall führt schon mal zu einem Machtwechsel an der Spitze. Kount Rakgrot von Loonshinz ist der momentane Führer dieses Hofes und schaffte es bis jetzt unbesiegt zu bleiben. In einer Nacht, an der der Badmmoon hoch stand, hatte einer der Loon-priester eine Vision von einem heiligen Shroom. Einem heiligen Mond-Shroom. Mit diesem Pilz könnte Kount Rakgrot genug Power sammeln um zum neuen Loonking aufzusteigen oder gar der Loonemperor werden. Somit beschloss von Loonshinz einen Kruzade auszurufen um den heiligen Shroom zu suchen (warum, das hielt er natürlich geheim). Um genug Lanzen für alle Adligen zu fertigen fängt der Kourt of ze Moon nun an die umliegenden Wälder zu roden.
The Kourt of ze Moon is a special Clan. It consists exclusively Loonnoblez. Blue-blooded Goblin “nobles”. This clan creates is own descendants and does not take Grots from outside into its ranks. In there freetime they spend most of their time on “tournaments” where the poke nobly each either with lances. Sometimes there are little “accidents” which lead to changes on the top of the clan. Kount Rakgrot of Loonshinz the the current leader of the Kourt and managed to remain undefeated.
At one night, the Badmoon was high up in the sky, one of his Loon-priests had a vision of a holy shroom. A holy Moon Shroom. With this shroom Kount Rakgrot could gather enough strength to become the new Loonking or Loonemperor. Therefore he decided to call up a Kruzade to find the holy shroom (of course he did not tell why). To gather enough lances for all the noblez the Kourt of ze Moon started to raid and clear the surrounding forests.

Das ist die geplante 1000 Punkte Liste. Sie wirkt vielleicht sehr fragil, aber passt in meinen Augen sehr gut zum Thema. Beim nachlesen zu Squig-heavy-listen, sahen diese aber auch immer recht ähnlich aus. Die beiden Cave-Shamans sind tatsächlich nur dazu da um Command Points zu generieren, da ich bestimmt immer einen brauchen werde um meinen Loonboss wieder aus dem Nahkampf zu ziehen. Die Hand of Gork ist dazu da, falls ich doch mal hinter die feindlichen Linien muss oder der Gleichen. Die Bounderz und der Loonboss werden hoffentlich genug aufräumen. Die kleinen Squigherden werden die Objectives besetzen und halten. Sollten sie in Bedrängnis gerate hoffe ich, dass sie lang genug durchhalten damit ich Entsatz schicken kann. Für 2000 Punkte werden die Einheiten erweitert und es kommt noch ein zweite Mangler Squig dazu. Ich mag die Dinger jetzt schon. Auf die größere Liste werde ich ein anderes mal eingehen.
This will be my 1000 points list. It looks quite fragile but fits the background well. When I was researching squig heavy lists, they always kinda looked like that. Both Cave-Shamans are there to generate extra command points, so I have one at hand when I pull my Loonboss out of combat. Squig lure is a must have in that list, if you ask me but I am not sure about Hand of Gork. May be I have to teleport my squig behind enemy lines. It could be quite handy but may be there is a better spell for the second Shaman.
I hope that the Bounderz and the Loonboss deal enough damage to clear the field. The small Squiq herds are just for taking objectives. If they are in danger I hope they will survive long enough to hold them so I can send some units to help them. For 2000 points I will just add a few of the same units and another Mangler squig. I already love these huge balls. I will talk more about 2000 points another time.
Paintingtheme – Kourt of ze Moon
Das Farbschema steht noch nicht ganz fest, aber nachdem blaues Blut durch die Adern der Loonnoblez fließt, dachte ich an eine eher bläuliche Haut mit Roben die ein eher warmes Schwarz haben. Zusätzlich wird es hier und da gelbe Kappen geben oder gelbe Muster. Die Suqigs werden violett/orange werden, vielleicht der eine oder andere auch gelb. Die Bases werden ein Waldthema bekommen, da meine Gruppe gerade am Lanzenholz suchen ist. Das liegt aber auch daran, dass ich Lust habe eine Sylvaneth Armee auszuheben und diese natürlich auch ein Waldbase bekommen soll aber das liegt noch in ferner Zukunft.
The colourtheme is not certain yet. Due to the fact that they are blue blooded they will get a bluish skin tone and warm black robes. Here and there I will paint some of the caps in yellow or with a yellow pattern. The squigs will be in a red violet and orange may be I will paint a few in yellow. For the bases I’ve chosen a foresttheme because my group is raiding in a forest. The other reason for that theme is the Sylvanth army I want to paint in the far future which will also get a forest theme.
Damit wäre ich auch schon am Ende meines ersten Beitrages zu dieser Armee und ich freu mich schon auf die nächste, dann hoffentlich mit einem Testmodell.
Der Plan ist jeden Montag (Moonday) zu posten. Daher empfehle ich auch Montags bei twitch.tv/lackmetal vorbei zuschauen, da es gut sein kann, dass ich ein Gobbomodell bemale.
