Der M113 ist ein leicht gepanzerter Mannschaftstransporter. Die meisten Vietnam-Veteranen werden diesen Plastikbausatz bereits kennen, da es der gleiche wie in der Vietnam Range ist.
The M113 is a fully tracked armoured personnel carrier. Most of the Vietnam veterans will know that plastic kit, because it is kind of the same as the one from the vietnam range.
Diese 21×14.9x6cm große Box beinhaltet vier M113 Bausätze, ein Decal-Sheet, vier Panzerkommandantensätze, zwei M106 Teams und drei Einheitskarten. Mit dem Set ist es auch möglich den M106 Mörserträger zu bauen. Wieder einmal ist die Qualität gut, es gibt nicht allzu viele Gußgrate zu entfernen und der Zusammenbau ist auch einfach. Da die Abgüsse sehr klein sind, können diese leicht entfernt werden. Das fertige Modell ist 2cm hoch ohne das MG, 5cm lang und 2.6cm breit.
This 21×14.9×5.6cm sized box contains four M113s sprues, one decal sheet, four tank commander sprues, two M106 crew sprues and three unitcards. The M113 kit allows you to build the M106 Heavy Mortar. Again the quality is really good, you don’t have to remove any mouldlines afterwards and the assembly is easy. The Feedpoints are small and easy to remove. The finished model is 2cm high without the MG, 5cm long and 2.6cm wide.
Die Panzerkommandanten sind aus dem gleichen “weichen” Resin wie die Figuren aus Bannon’s Boys. Auf der Gußleiste findet man zwei Kommandanten bzw. Besatzungsmitglieder und einen Soldaten mit einer Dragon Panzerabwehrwaffe. Einige Grate und Flashes müssen entfernt werden, aber im Großen und Ganzen ist die Qualität hier auch ziemlich gut. Der einzige Negativpunkt ist, dass Battlefront nur zwei M106 Teams beigelegt hat – was heißt, man kann nur zwei Mörserträger bauen. Noch konnte ich nicht herausfinden, ob das ein Fehler, oder geplant war. Der offiziellen Seite nach ist es so beabsichtigt. Meiner Meinung nach ist das allerdings nicht sehr kundenfreundlich, da ich entweder drei oder sechs davon brauche. Das heißt ich muss mindestens zwei Boxen kaufen um überhaupt ein kleines Platoon aufstellen zu können – oder ich lasse die restlichen Fahrzeuge unbemannt, was auch irgendwie komisch aussehen dürfte.
The tank commanders are made out of the same soft resin as the miniatures from Bannon’s Boys. On the sprue you find two commanders and one crew member with a Dragon. You have to remove some mouldlines and flashes but overall the quality is quite good. The only downside is that Battlefront only put two M106 crew sprues inside, which means you can build no more than two heavy mortar carriers. I still didn’t find out if it is just a mistake or planned. According to the official M113 page, it is the right number of miniatures. In my opinion this is not customer friendly because I can field three or six of them, which means I have to buy two boxes just to field the small platoon.
M113 Transport, M106 Heavy Mortar und der M113 FIST können mit den beiliegenden Einheitskarten in die Schlacht geführt werden. Der M113 FIST ist ein unabhängiges Artilleriebeobachtungsfahrzeug für die M106 oder die M109.
M113 Transport, M106 Heavy Mortar and the M113 FIST can be fielded with the unit cards included in the box. The M113 FIST is the independent spotting team for artillery teams like the M106 or the M109.
Man wird um diese Box nicht herum kommen, wenn man ein Mech Platoon in seiner Armee haben möchte. Wie bereits erwähnt, macht man auch nichts falsch damit – wenn man über den Verpackungsfehler mit der Mörsercrew hinwegsieht.
You won’t escape that box if you want to get a mech platoon in your army. But don’t worry, as I already mentioned it is a nice and solid plasitc kit made by Battlefront – if you can ignore the packing failure with the M106 crew.
